I enjoy taking my family to as many outdoor events as possible. There are six of us. My wife and I have four children ranging in age from eight to 19. Needless to say, when we go out as a family, it is always a major operation. On several occasions, we have even included our children’s friends on our outings. I am constantly responsible for a large number of people. Anything that can make my job easier is greatly appreciated.
One thing that I find vitally important is finding a comfortable place to sit. Face it, once you have transported a car filled with energetic children and teenagers over a large distance, you are going to be exhausted. I know how I can get during times like these. Just getting them into the car to start the trip is a major undertaking. That is why I love a good camping chair.
The best camping chairs are the easily portable camping chairs. Once I situate myself and get comfortable, the last thing I want to do is pick up everything and move. I want a chair that is comfortable to sit in, sturdy enough not to collapse, and easy to transport from one place to another.
Currently, I own six 31″ x 23″ x 35″ blue and red nylon chairs with stainless steel frames. The chairs collapse to a manageable size with no trouble and they each fit into a bag with a strap that fits over your shoulder. My chairs are light and they have survived several years of abuse.
I have seen several camping chairs at stores. Each of them has attractive features. Some of them have wooden handrails and others have fancy designs on the seatbacks. I am a simple man with simple needs. When given the option I will take strength and portability over aesthetics any day. That said, camping furniture need not look bad just to be strong and durable and if you spend a bit of time looking around you should find ones that fit both your needs.
