Cool camping spots are a perfect getaway to beat the summer heat. Camping also helps in saving on hotels and reservations and are a great way to get in touch with nature. They are also a perfect girl getaways as most of these campgrounds have facilities for group camping. There are many cool camping spots in the US and the Zion National Park, situated in Utah, is a cool camping place and is Utah’s first national park, a slice of heaven in Utah’s desert. Its scenic hiking trails and breathtaking campgrounds and cool camping spots are perfect for girl getaways. It is a magnificent cliff-and-canyon landscape and this contrast of the canyon on the blue sky is absolutely breath taking. There are mainly three camping spots available at the Zion National Park: Watchman, South, and Lava Point campgrounds and these camping sites are available on a first come first serve basis. These cool camping spots are usually the most crowded during summer and also during spring and fall. The Lava point campground is more primitive and is usually closed during the winter. Activities to consider while visiting the Zion National Park are backpacking, hiking, biking, horseback rides, camping, fishing, river running, four wheeling, photography, star gazing and watching wildlife. Much of the lower canyon is a desert and yet, amidst this aridity, the moisture provided by springs and streams supports a lush community of plants and a wide diversity of wildlife thus making the Zion National Park a photographer’s haven. Deserts are the most dazzling during the springtime and wildflowers carpet the terrain in vibrant colors. The starkest and most unlikely looking cactus produces the most flamboyant blossoms. Trips to the desert during the springtime are always educational and inspirational, as well as a source for rugged outdoor fun. This vibrancy in the nature makes it ideal for girl getaways and also makes it the perfect cool camping spot.
