Bear Grylls Scout Knife

In continuing my series on Bear Grylls gear, this week we look at the scout knife that he’s come up with. This is the big brother to the folding scout knife that I looked at a few weeks ago and the big difference is that this is a bigger blade that is about an inch longer (3.3  inches) than its little brother.

The knife was designed with boy scouts in mind, so is designed for all the little camp chores that you might do. It is also a pretty handy blade to have in a survival situation. As with the compact scout, it is cheap enough and small enoguh that size, weight and cost will not be major barriers to you having one in your car or in your pocket should you need it.

The negative is that it has a half-serated blade, and I’m not a huge fan of those.

Product Description

This is a great backup or a fantastic present for a youngster who is joining the boy scouts. In a pinch I would happily use it as a primary blade, but there are better ones out there in this survival series.
